With pristine jungles and undeveloped beaches, Costa Rica features some of the best learn-to-surf waves in the world, and as nomadic surfers we can explore all the prime locations. Transportation

Julian will be your experienced driver on this adventure, navigating some of Costa Rica’s more remote roads. You will drive in a safari style 4×4 Jeep, with space for up to 6 people. This is the ideal vehicle to travel with other adventurous nomadic surfers and experience nature up close and personal. However, if you want to travel more comfortable you can con in our Mitsubishi Montero that has air conditioner and has space fr 5 people

Surfboards

We make sure you get a surfboard that is good for your weight, size and level. We have everything from shortboards to long boards and you are welcome to try any of them. Each surf session offers an opportunity to see which board suits you the best. Paddle boards and boogie boards can also be made available upon request

Costa Rican surfer, traveler and explorer, Julian is the owner-operator of Nomadic Surf Camp. He will make sure you have the most amazing time in Costa Rica. He will be your driver as well as your surf instructor during this adventure, Julian is an experienced surf instructors who loves his country and is always ready to jump into an adventure. He is an expert traveler who has traveled over 26 countries

Nomadic Surf Camp is mainly focused on beginner surfers and total newcomers. Surf camps are incredibly diverse, and you can expect to meet people of all ages, abilities and walks of life

Is ti possible to book a private surf trip?

Yes, let us know what surf towns you want to visit and for how long and we tailor-made you an unforgettable surf trip

How many people can come?

Our Jeep has space for 5 people plus the driver. Therefore we guarantee a small group of no more than a 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio

Photos & videos

We always have a Go-Pro on board, so photos and videos are included in the price. Please bring a memory stick to get your photos and videos easier.

Surf lessons

The focus of this trip is surfing, therefore we will have at least one surf session a day. Initially, we will cover all the theories and explain and demonstrate the techniques to get you surfing and keep you safe in the process

The location

We will be traveling along the coast of the Nicoya peninsula, hitting some of the hottest surf towns like Mal Pais/Santa Theresa, Samara, Nosara/Guiones, Playa Coyote, and Tamarindo

Ages

If you are 16 years or older you are welcome to join our nomadic surf camp in the company of an adult. Otherwise, all ages are welcome!!

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in the Nomadic Surf Camp. We will stay in a variety of Hotels, AirBnBs and hostels. All places are great hang out spots for “apres surf”

What is the difference between a regular surf camp and our Nomadic Surf Camp?

In a regular surf camp you only surf on one beach, but with our Nomadic Surf Camp you will get surf on a different beach every day. You will discover different areas, waves and beaches – just like the pros do

Is Nomadic Surfing Camp Only For Pro Surfers?

No at all! This surf camp is mainly focused on people with no or little experience but intermediate surfers will also have a fantastic time

Food

Food is not included in the packet but we will provide water, drinks, and fruits Meals, alcoholic beverages and fees for other tours are not included in the price
